Cruising and Timezones - A Must Read for Cruisers

When you are Cruising:

Remember that EVERYTHING runs on SHIP TIME and NOT on the PORT TIME !!

Anytime that you visit a Cruise Port, the actual Time there might be different than what the actual Ship Time is. Some Ships do keep the same time no matter where they are. But on occasion, Cruisers have been left behind when they actually thought that the Cruise Ship was leaving at the Port Time.

I suggest that you verify the Time of Port Departure through Customer Service prior to going into Port. We set alarms for ourselves, based on the time that we need to be back and try to board at least 1/2 hour to an hour earlier.

If you get left in Port, it's highly likely you're going to need that Passport. ( Not the Passport Card ). Depending on where you are at.

And remember that Passports have to be valid for at least six months past the return date of the Cruise that you are on.
